ARMOR OF GOD – LAUNCHING AUGUST 1

Well, hello there, strangers! I’ve been away for awhile and SO very much has happened!!! We will have to catch up in my next post! For now, there’s something super exciting that I’d love to share with you!

LifeWay & Priscilla Shirer will be launching her new bible study “Armor of God” .

WE ARE HAVING A BABY! oh, wait…. you knew that 😉

…… WE ARE MOVING!!!!!!!!

The Wallaces are packing up and moving to OHIO!

God has blessed us beyond measure with an opportunity for Tom to serve as Pastor at New Lexington Baptist Church, in New Lexington, OH.  We could not possibly be more excited to start serving alongside our new church family.  We will miss our Freedom Worship family, but know without a doubt that this is God’s will for us.  We are already quite smitten with our new family & with Ohio. Our boys are so very excited for all of the new friends, just like their parents 😉 .

Please keep our family in your prayers as we are making this transition & as we are searching for a new home over the next couple of weeks; Tom will be traveling to Ohio to, Lord willing, find our home sometime over the next couple of weeks.  We will be moving before baby Samuel arrives in May, Lord willing 🙂 .

And to our NC & VA family – if you wanna see us before we move, come on over 🙂  We will let you help pack up a box or two – or we can just visit – we will likely not be making a trip to VA before the move, since we are busy packing and getting things ready for Nic & Jenny’s wedding [Tom’s sister].

Seek: A Pursuit Community Devotional – Day 21

I am humbled to even have the opportunity to share this with you, yes – YOU. I had the opportunity to contribute to the first ever collaborative Pursuit Community Devotional, and what an honor it is to share pages with these women of God.

Be still before the Lord & wait patiently for him. Psalm 37:7

Last night our family received some exciting news, I can’t share it with you yet – but God used this devotion this morning to remind me how rewarding it is to just wait on His timing.

God never ceases to amaze me.  I just knew after writing this, and submitting it, and then seeing it for the first time in print – that my message in sharing it with you would still be about the waiting period we are in.  Sweet sister, or brother, in Christ – let me tell you – His timing is perfect.

I know now that our time of rest is coming to an end, God is about to send us spiraling into a full blown busy season – all in His own timing.  Letting Him lead us is the best feeling in the world – granted, it isn’t always easy. It is hard to relinquish control and to not know where you’re headed next or what you’re supposed to be doing.  I want to encourage you to take time to rest in Him.  Spend time in God’s word – seek after a heart like His.

I pray that as you’re ending this 21 days of fasting and praying that you feel rejuvenated.  You still may not have the answers you are looking for, but please take comfort in knowing that God will reveal them to you in His perfect timing.

When you need help with your bible study …

Word to the wise (you think I would’ve learned by now….) if you want help on your bible study, simply leave it open on the couch with the pen nearby & have to step out of the room for something ….. your 2 yr old will be sure to assist! 🙂 thankful for colored ink … i just switched pens for this session. (At least my bible was closed while i was out of the room, and he only marked a little on the cover)

Can I be honest? There was a time when I would have been LIVID. I mean, like I wouldve fussed at Nate, yelled at him, attempted to put him in time-out, maybe even popped his behind – I am so thankful that God is constantly working on my heart – to be more like His. Yeah, there will be moments when I’m sure I will lose my cool; I am only human. But today, I am thankful He let me see it as He does – my child simply saw an open book and a pen and wanted to draw mommy a picture.
