DAY 4 – 31 Days of Prayer For My Husband

Today’s Focus:  Maturing My Husband

Today’s Scripture:  Ephesians 4:14-15

I’m not quite sure what happened …. I had my prayer and everything typed out and – when I hit publish – it all VANISHED! …. Actually, it was probably Satan.  Satan, shoo! be gone! in Jesus’ Name, go!   OKay…. now, Let’s do this again, LET’S PRAY!
Father, WE GIVE YOU THE GLORY! ALL THE GLORY, LORD! God, help mold our husbands’ hearts to be more like yours! Grow them, mature them and us in our relationship with YOU so that we can grow and flourish with each other.  Father, thank you for the simple fact that no matter our age, no matter how long we’ve been married – there will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be room to grow and mature in YOU.  God, thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross, thank you for salvation, thank you for your grace and mercy, and thank you for your love. Help us to see where you’re working in us, help our husbands to see where you’re working in them.  We all desire to grow and mature in our faith and our relationship with you and our relationships with each other!  We praise You, Lord, and give you all of the glory! Amen!

Today’s Prayer Focus:  ENCOURAGEMENT FOR TODAY

Today’s Scripture Reference:  ROMANS 15:13

Watch the video today. PRAY. Then go encourage your man. Love y’all!

Let’s pray! Lord, we come to you today and we lift our husbands to you.  We ask God that you encourage them today.  Let the Holy Spirit dwell upon our husbands, let them feel lifted up by you.  When my husband opens his bible and reads scripture today, let it be encouraging and affirming to him today. Let him feel You, God.  Send others in his path today, Lord, to encourage him, let him feel respected today, God.  I pray my husband fully trusts in You, Father, for all things and that he finds his joy, peace, satisfaction, comfort, strength, self-worth and encouragement in You.  In Your Holy Name, Amen.

Today’s Prayer Focus: His Job

Today’s Scripture Focus: Colossians 3:23-24

Good Morning! or Afternoon or Evening – depending on what time you’re realistically getting the time to read and pray today!!

Today we are praying over our husbands and their jobs!  No matter where your husband works, he has an opportunity to be a shining light for God.  He has the opportunity to be the good, to be an example for others, to lead others, and to share the gospel.

Let’s Pray!
Heavenly Father, we come to you today to lift our husbands up to you, specifically their jobs.  Lord, help him see the strengths that You created him with.  Help him to flourish in the areas that he is naturally good at, show him the areas that he needs to work on and give him the tools to do so.  God, give him joy from You in his work.  Use him to benefit his company, to be a blessing to those around him, and to encourage the people that he works with.  Father, if he is not in the job that best suits him, that You created him for, show him. Provide an opportunity for him to serve you in a position/job that will give You the most glory – and that will allow him to thrive.  Lord, as my husband provides for our family, remind him that You are the ultimate provider, that he cannot care for our family alone – he needs You.  God, show him where You are working and lead him to serve You there also.  Lord. if there is a woman praying right now and her husband is not a believer, we ask that You call his name, that You knock down the walls around His heart and call him to seek You and to follow You.  We thank You, Lord, for being the ultimate Provider, in more ways than we will ever know. Thank You for our husbands and for the institution of marriage. Help us to be helpmates to our husbands and be the wives that You created us to be.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 1 of 31 Days of Prayer For Your Husband

Today’s Prayer Focus: Leader of the Home

Today’s Scripture Focus: Ephesians 5:23

First, I pray for YOU.  This is a time for us to not only lift our husbands, or future husbands, up in prayer, but a time for us to grow in our own relationships with God.  Y’all, I pray that you feel God’s Presence in your life.  I pray that you grow closer to Him.  This month of prayers does not guarantee change, but I pray that your hearts will become more like His, that you will have a love for your husband like the church should for Christ.  I pray that you make the time everyday to spend with God praying over your husband.  If you don’t have time to watch the video, that’s okay, I’ll provide you with the focus topic and scripture reference each day.  I’m not doing this to receive praise of any kind. I’m doing this because God laid it on my heart to help lead fellow wives to lift up their husbands.  God gets all of the glory.   Praying over our men is something we don’t do nearly enough.  We’re their helpmates – what better service could we do for them than to cover them in prayer and lift them up to our Heavenly Father?!   I love you all and I’m here if you need me!

Let’s pray! Thank you, Lord, for the gift of marriage and the beautiful institution that it is designed to be.  Help my husband to continue to grow in You, mold him daily into the leader of our home that you created him for.  Father, today I lift my husband to you, as leader of our home, grant him wisdom and direction.  Give him confidence and strength, that he may grow in faithfulness to you.  Let my husband hear You today, encourage him, Father.  Bring other men, fellow believers in Christ, alongside him to help hold him accountable and to lift him up; other men that will help him become a better man.  Let him be an example to others, and others to him, on leading godly families.  I pray my husband is filled with gentleness, compassion, love, respect and wisdom. Equip him to lead our family with wisdom and discernment from You, with a confidence fueled by the Holy Spirit. I pray, Lord, that he will lead me and cherish me as Christ does the church.  I pray that my husband grasps the responsibility granted to him through You in leading our family.  Lord, help him to embrace his purpose and to seek you diligently. I pray he submits to you, humbly as your servant, eager and willing to do your will.  Father, lead him as he leads our family in your will.  In Jesus’s sweet and precious name, Amen.
